Local Youth Leadership Conference Developed Student Leadership Potential

The Northeast Community Challenge Coalition holds a two-day leadership conference every July. NECC Youth Coalition staff will present workshops to student delegates from Ursuline Academy, Archbishop Moeller, Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy, and Sycamore High School. The conference also includes many guest speakers and guest panelists.  The panel will address teen health issues and will answer questions asked by the conference delegates.

Extensively trained members of the NECC Youth Coalition presented the following workshops:

·  Asset building

·  Leadership dynamics

·  Character development

·  Team building

·  Goal Setting

·  Strategic planning

·  Problem solving/Decision making

·  Group dynamics/Interpersonal relationships

·  Conflict management skills

·  School Climate/Respect


The mission of the Northeast Community Challenge Coalition is to mobilize all sectors of the community to work collaboratively in promoting healthy communities and healthy youth. Founded in 1983, the NECC Coalition is the longest standing community prevention coalition in the State of Ohio servicing the City of Blue Ash, the City of Montgomery, Sycamore Township, and Symmes Township.

The NECC Community Board consists of representatives from schools, senior services, service organizations, parents/parent organizations, social services, law enforcement, government, businesses, faith-based organizations, health organizations, youth/youth organizations, and media.
